I don't know what basis for corn is for your area but gambling on corn is not something I would be interested in. I assume you want it for feeding your cattle? Is there a feed store or coop that rails corn in? Even if you find cheap seed and go bare minimum on fertilizer it doesn't sound very profitable especially with that little of precip. Early frost is another concern that far north. Good luck on whatever you decide.
