I’ve tried late June seeded cover crops in corn a couple times. Green Cover made up a mix and I spread it with a spinner mounted on the cultivator.

It grew well where I had cultivator blight.

Not so well, or at all, where I had a full stand of corn.

If I plant my corn correctly, there isn’t enough light penetrating the canopy to support weeds, planted or otherwise.

I've had the same experience. Good canopy keeps stuff at bay.
