Northeast, Nebraska
Quit the p in furrow a few years ago. Now I do biology, humic, and amino acids. Trying to build back low fungal numbers in my soil. I test for nutrients and biology. You need to balance your fertility, well, you also need to balance your biology. Most ground is bacterial dominant and it needs to be closer to 50/50. The things we struggle with in our fields, more disease, and harder to kill weeds are all becoming worse as we kill off our fungal in our soils. We lost or weakened our natural defenses. Balance your biology, increase your brix in plants. Your tied up nutrients will become more available in your soil. Nematodes are becoming a big issue too. That is something we should be testing for as well.
