Holland, Indiana (SW IN) | Have posted on AgTalk about my broken back ----so that changed CC seeding plans for this fall
We decided to just do the rolling hills --erosion control --about 500 acres
Then we looked at our left over seed :-) had 2 year old Annual Rye grass about 2500#
SO doing the math ---decided 4# an acre ---we seeded before Sept 15 after corn harvest with a VT tool and mounted air box seeder
-Corn 25% when harvested
darn pleased --made a 2 X pass down any area thought might erode a gully
Not very thick but should do it's job ----first time in many years that we haven't CC seeded most every thing

FWIW I ran the combine all fall and with help from my friends didn't lift over 10#
Back to almost "normal" brace off and can lift 30#
