Went to the PFI (Practical Farmers of Iowa) conference last year was a session on Humic so went to it. The conclusion they had from all their data was that it mad the crop greener and look nicer all year but did not result in a yield increase. They had lots of yield data and replications up on the screen.
Yep, that’s why I always tell people it won’t make your corn or beans jump 400 bushel but there have been years that it made the difference between ZERO crop and a decent crop.
I do feel like there maybe a better use we could find for it? I look at it like compost tea I guess, maybe it’s just better for small scale vegetable production? |
