The difference? Carbohydrate intake.....
Carbohydrates>>>made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen>>>>>found in foods like fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy products.

Sugars: Simple carbohydrates found in fruits, dairy products, and added to processed foods.
Starches: Complex carbohydrates found in grains, starchy vegetables, and legumes..
Bananas, for instance, contain a mixture of sugars (sucrose, glucose, and fructose), rather than a processed sugary food.
I assume one means to reduce the intake of simple carbohydrates? Doing so will reduce the level of Glucose Spikes.
