I wait until Henbit germinates before lightly disking in the fall. Waiting for this means about 1 out 5 years it doesn't get done. Those years if I don't get in the fields in early April, I'll end up getting out the old IH Model 37 disk and lightly disking the Henbit patches. This spring was one of those years. I also No-Till places where water wants to erode the soil being fairly flat here that's only about 10% of what I farm.
