I cover crop all my bean ground with cereal rye, that's going to corn or beans. "Here", on a lot of my ground if you touch bean stubble in the fall you most likely are going to get water washing gully's. No-til works well to help stop that but isn't perfect, covers are not either but have stopped about all of it. Growing up everybody around here moldboard plowed everything, That's why there's a lot of clay knobs. I have almost no black dirt, so not sure how that would handle the erosion, have a lot of ground that is HEL, water erosion is the big one for me.
