Subject: RE: Pull grader vs 3 point grader blade

East Central Arkansas
A tailwheel or gauge wheels on the rear of of a 3 point blade makes a complete different tool. I have never personally used on of the pull type graders put have seen where they have been used and they do a good job. The ones I have seen around here are pretty wide and large. Better for a wider road than a one lane road. A pull type killifer works good for smoothing but you still need the blade for ditches and crowning the road. I use our 3 point blade with a tail wheel for crowning the road and then the kilifer to lightly smooth and flatten the top of the crown some. Any grass or other vegetation causes problems. This is narrow gravel roads.
