For me, no-till and cover crops have been a blessing.
We have shallow top soils and mostly white dirt.
Water erosion is and has been a serious threat.
We grow much better crop today than we did when I started farming. 1983.
Double the bean yields and 80% higher corn yields.
I've been cover cropping long before it was "cool".

Edit to add: Mileage may vary. It just works for my area.
