The alternative we have done for years is do nothing on soybean stubble in the fall. Your cover is already there and you used no fuel or hours on equipment. It is ready for nh3 application next spring then one pass with caseih330 or similar ahead of the planter. We do a burn down in the fall. It’s a myth that a fall disking drys out faster in the spring. Here might be different than there.
