Subject: Line post depth on average fence

NW Central Ohio
It's been a question on my mind for a while...and I thought I'd post it where a lot of fence builders see it now and then....But what determines your "line post" depth?....Do you put to "below average frost depth" (Realizing that would be pretty darn deep north of US. 30 at times!!!)...I figure about 30" around here might make it. (Northwest Central Ohio). I don't have a problem putting corner and brace posts deeper....but I've always been curious what others think about their project fences. Probably 47" woven with a strand of barb or electric at the top....if for no other reason than to keep people from climbing it....Keeping both cows and probably some goats or sheep in.
