| There is very little selection pressure put on things like fertility and longevity in a lot of the mainstream breeding, that is the reason why people are stacking maternal traits with line breeding. It's all about numbers and flushing those cows. What does that have to do with traits that are vitally important to commercial producers? All much of the Angus breed seems to care about is breeding Holsteins and cows that fart less. | |
