No need to go buy a special bull or cow. Just pick a group of cows from your herd that have the attributes you desire and a bull from your herd that shares those attributes and mate them. Select from that mating a bull or bulls that qualify if there are any and use him or them on the herd. Select for traits and not family but keep the family closed. Your goal is to express the negatives and cull them
