N MO | I like it when we are trying to reach a goal. I’ve done half subs. Generally less frame and performance but their DNA profile points to a big pop on the next cross.
In my registered herd, I have 3 main cow families with 1 in particular being extremely prolific compared to others. Because of that, there is a lot of close relation.
With the very little background you provided, I would do it but I like to stack cows rather than sires in pedigree.
Figure out cow you want to recreate and stack her 3-4 times in the 4 generation pedigree. | |
