Subject: RE: Walkie Talkies for Harvest

Osakis, MN
We tried the hand held two way for a few years. Was not ideal, dead batteries, forget to turn on forgot to turn off. Left it in the pickup.....
Finally just broke down and went private band two way radios in just about every machine. I bought them used on an auction had them reprogrammed to my band and they are awesome. Clear sound, loud enough to hear, ten or more miles of range. Always on when the key switch is on. It is worth the investment it's a pretty long term purchase because I feel they have a much longer lifespan. Going with 100 percent new private bands would be spendy. I ended up getting a really good deal on mine.
Really cuts down on the frustration levels of the random arms flailing around and anger issues. Would be very hard to go without after having for several years.
