What is the difference of using the processed humics versus the raw ones?
You could use the raw material in dry form. You need a higher rate obviously than the refined, going to be a lot slower to break down. So you really wouldn't see much payback for a while and then like any bulk material dug out of the earth. How consistent are you going to get across each square foot. But if you dry spread a couple hundred pounds a year of the raw material along with reduced tillage, cover crops in 5 years. Would you see a pretty significant change to your soil?
The refined stuff is just to make the product usable. The raw stuff you could try to make compost teas processing it yourself. But for the most part, the processing to make a liquid is that it's easy to use and it's homogenized. So every jug is the same as the previous jug. So you just have more of a consistent product
I know nothing of his company. But they have some good frequently asked questions page. They seem to fit the criteria of higher quality.
On their page they had tested against using map fertilizer.
And the system the guy built for me. I applied no map fertilizer. I literally apply a couple pounds of phosphorus through the liquid products. My soil tests have maintained for up to 11 years on a couple Fields and my plant tissue tests are coming back good. And when we tested the soil versus the check, we generated a lot of phosphorus.
$900 a ton phosphorus means nothing to me cuz I'll go the rest of my life without buying map fertilizer. Other than if we pick up a new field.
