In a word no. If you feel confident in the cows behind the genetics it's how you build a superior cowherd, breeding like to like. IMHO one of the reasons we have the smallest cowherd in 75 years is that the cowherd nationally has become a freak show of bull of the month fads instead of concentrating on breeding honest hard working females.
