| A lot of conjecture about "rebuilding" the US cow herd. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing in the same way and expecting different results. Wondering out loud how many $4000-$5000 one and done heifers are being bred? Can they be profitable if and when prices soften and they only have the national average of than four calves (some think less). $800 -$1000 per calf cow depreciation might be a bit steep down the road. | |
