God's Country (N.C. Ia) | Ahay makes some good points about timing. The last group of feeders i bought, by the grace of God i was able to get sold for a small profit because the market came up just enough before it started its downward spiral. Had I gotten greedy, I can honestly say I’m pretty sure I’d be out of business even with the rest I have on feed that are contracted for decent $$.
Have a couple groups of fats going in a couple weeks, and after seeing the volatility in the board these past few weeks, I’m more scared to fill than I’ve ever been. Buy the feeders, and then get a limit down move in fats the same day, and you’re in the red before they hit the lot! Reminds me of the old catching a falling knife anecdote.
