South cental Ohio | Finally have some turnips after taking forever to get them growing because of dry weather. I try growing them every fall and eat them raw as long as they are eatable. It takes a really hard freeze to ruin them unless you are energetic enough to pull some and put them in the straw mile and keep them from freezing. Anyway, does anybody have a different way of eating them. I don't like cooked ones but I can eat raw ones with salt just like radishes all day long. | |
