Chebanse, IL..... | We always post calibrate our harvest info on JD Operations Center. They make it very easy to do that. I enter truck scale weights and approved moisture readings to make the end result of a field accurate & trustworthy. No problem.
However, JD doesn't offer the same ability to post-calibrate with Applications as they do with Harvest. I have always wanted to post calibrate the side-dress nitrogen applications to match scale ticket weights, but have been unable. They offer no such ability
I want to post-calibrate fertilizer & lime applications via Ops Center, but again, there is no way to post calibrate Applications.
JD.....why don't you add that simple ability on the Applications as you do on the Harvest maps. It would make a much cleaner offering to landlords if shared costs are involved and you want to offer them a nice looking and ACCURATE map and summary of what actually went on to a field. Why not???? It should be no different to adjust NH3 application, lime application, or wet pounds of corn harvested.
Yes, I'm very familiar with downloading reports to XLS spreadsheets and entering correct scale info. That doesn't help the map and summary info. I'm also familiar with entering "notes" on field information showing the correct quantities used vs info from the rate controllers. But, they require extra work and make the system look somewhat antiquated and the map becomes questionable.
I believe I've suggested this annually to my friends at the Ops Center for at least 5 years now. I realize they do not create the software.
Thanks for listening. |
