SW Iowa | Looking to get a cobett set in the pasture before winter sets in and planning on renting a treancher the following weekend. To preface, the route is not set in stone; it follows a ridge rather than dipping up and down three hills. My main question is, can you expect to get about 1,000-1,500 feet trenched in decent black, moderately dry dirt in a day? Day rental is $525, and I would like to get the line dug in one day and installed the next. Just not sure how fast one of these machines can go while digging the full 60". Plan on digging out the ends with our backhoe attachment on the skidsteer, install a curb stop at the buildings, run 1" plastic out, and install a cobbett. Any other input or recommendations?
