Embarrass WI | I lost my wife at age 55, 10 years ago in March to Pancreatic cancer. I was still dairy farming, tried to keep busy.
One thing I would say is, don't make any big life decisions for at least a year.
Life goes on, you have to move forward with your life. The giant gaping hole in your heart will get better but it hasn't gone away for me yet.
I found a girlfriend later that same year, my daughter had a fit but she has adjusted. My son didn't get as agitated. Having a companion has been well worth it.
My prayers are with you.
Edit- Everyone grieves differently. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not doing it "right".
