Eastern Shore of MD | I would agree with seed corn maggots. We saw it last year on early planed beans as we had organic material (low rate of poultry manure) applied and incorporated before planting. That is the magnet for them and they reduced stands significantly. We plan on using insecticide if we use manure preplant.....otherwise we do not think insecticide is warranted....as we are not sure what pest we would be protecting from. | |
