Used to buy tons of stuff in Menards, Acme Tools, home depot in Minot. Drive down, pay taxes at border coming back into Snow Mexico and was still cheaper. Lumber is priced same in both places now, 43% cheaper here with currency exchange.
Only thing cheaper in Minot is airfare. Can fly to Vegas for 1/4 price as flying from Winnipeg. Plus your vehicle wont get destroyed, vandalized or stolen sitting at Minot airport. A posibility in ywg. Then you can take a hawaiian airlines one way to the islands for another $300.
If tariffs are off Canada ——I’d like to come up for load of lumber, plywood, osb. Could cross sweet grass/courts or Rooseville——I imagine west slope would be best? Any suggestions from locals? Tia |
