Tile it first that’s step 1
Crested wheatgrass alfalfa barley will grow in high pH getting soil biology and microbes going if you aren’t going to tile, they will hold back foxtail and kochia and keep it from getting worse if you can’t tile.
I applied gypsum the pH went up a little bit but I went 31% mag and 48% calcium 15% salt to 20% mag 67% calcium and 9% salt. That took 4 tons an acre and 30” of rainfall.
potassium went down which I’m not thrilled about but getting a bit closer to hopefully being able to have it back into production in a few years, soil structure has improved as well.
