Green lightning is not cost effective right now. Even if the machine was free, the cost of the energy makes it way too expensive of a nitrogen source.

And at roughly 1.5 or two nitrogen credits per gallon.

Their claim is 2-3 nitrogen credits per gallon, not 1.5 or 2. But potato potato.

I don't understand why you would say the GL is not cost effective if we go by their claims?

Their THUNDER 365 claims to produce 110k lbs of equivalent N per year when running 24/7
110,000 lb/year / 8760 hours/year = 12.5 lb/hr of equivalent N

The machine draws 1100 watts
1100 watt * 1 hour = 1100 Wh = 1.1 kWh
1.1 kWh * $0.20 kWh = $0.22

So one hour costs $0.22 and gets you 12.5 units of equivalent N, $0.0176/unit equivalent N
That's about 1/40th the cost of UAN.
