East Central Illinois | Installed thousands of tap tees into 6 inch tile, I don’t think I’ve ever had to dig one up. I know we’ve dug up at least (1) 6 inch tee that collapsed. Both are plenty good. Just make sure to hand bed and get decent dirt on sides and top of all connections. We’ve taken tile to get tested at the facility’s test lab, and they’ve done tests with tap tees installed and said it did not weaken the tile. Their words, not mine! I would have thought it would weaken it slightly, but they say otherwise | |
