30 Miles Northwest of Columbus Ohio | I noticed a post from September asking if anyone had planted Epley in Ohio so I thought I should reply. We planted 112 acres of notill planted at 32,000 the first week of June, and it consisted of Dekalb 59-82, Agrigold 636-11 and 5 bags of Epley E1609PCE - 106 day. This year was very dry and I was amazed how well the crop did under such dry conditions. My custom harvester did not have a yield monitor so all data is by observation. Total yield was 30 bu. under the farm average. The combine operator was pretty impressed by the Epley
The Epley was the best looking/yielder. Agrigold was next. Dekalb was last. This hybrid was planted next to the neighbor's and had Tar Spot bad which I think came from their land (planted to soybeans and was corn last year) and went down which brought down the total yield by quite a bit. I'm sorry I don't have more results.
I really appreciate the input that you guys put on here!
