Northeastern Pa. | I have tried about every herbicide that has been suggested for 10 years and nothing really works good. I thought it wouldn't be a problem this year as dry as it was, but a late August rain brought in a new flush and it was bad. I use a max rate of Acuron at planting and a max rate of Atrazine with Glyphosate post at 12" corn that has bur coming in it. Spirit did ok but not available anymore. Peak is ok but still get some bur but not supposed to plant beans the next year. Which I don't get because Peaks residual isn't even keeping the 3rd flush out. It's a huge battle on our river bottom ground. It seems to be the worst in the same fields every year if no-till or tilled. It's easy to control the bur in beans but you'll never eradicate it. A drone is the best way to kill it post but it will be back the next year. Good luck and if a solution is found please let us know. I keep hoping a new residual herbicide will come out for it, but I guess it's not a "world" wide issue.
