I picked 3 wagon loads of ear corn to grind for feed. My recipe is to fill the grinder with ear corn leaving just enough room for 2 small square bales of 4th cutting alfalfa. I'm guessing it's about 2500 lbs ear corn and 150 lbs alfalfa. Feeding that to some 3 weights as well as 1100-1200 lb fats. They all seem to enjoy the cob more than straight ground shelled corn.
