Word on the street is a "couple more years" of RTK radio production
There has been very definitive messaging to dealers that whatever model StarFire comes after the 7500 will not work with radios
This will be great for true RTK sales for any vertical work such as ditching and tiling. Even John Deere does not recommend using SF-RTK for vertical work. Maybe by the next receiver release in 5-8 years they will have made it good enough. I am already seeing a bump in RTK sales as customers trade in RTK unlocked 6000's for 7500 with SF-RTK. There are better RTK base rover systems available for less than unlocking 2 7500's for permanent RTK. |
