Subject: "Making" ear corn.....

Marengo, Ia.
Stupid question....
I have all the ingredients to "make" ground ear corn. Cob, stalk/husks and dry corn, and a grinder mixer.
Question is, Should I???
This will be fed to Freshly weaned calves, Fat cattle, bred heifers and cows during cold streches.
I currently just feed ground corn and top dress gluten for protien. Calves get free choice alfalfa/grass bales. Fats get corn stalks for bedding so of course, they eat some. They're still a little "loose" for my liking...
56lbs of grain + 8lbs of cob + 6lbs of husk = 1bu of ear corn
Waste of time??
