Subject: RE: scanning credit card receipts

Central, IA
If your willing to spend some money on an app, check out expensify. They have a few levels of features and pricing.

I have 2 credit cards. Expensify is linked to both of them to import all of the credit card transactions. Within the software, I sort them between business reimburseable and personal. I can email a receipt straight from my inbox to expensify and it attaches it with the credit card charge. I can also take a picture of the receipt on the phone app and it does the same. You could also scan them with a scanner and just upload them.

I create a monthly report to store all of the receipt data and info to then enter it into our accounting software. I believe it can be set to directly import into quickbooks, but we use redwing.

Not the cheapest app I have by far, but it does save me a lot of time.
