Anamoose, ND | This "should" help any 855 cummins. I was told this mod was factory on newer N14's. On a 855 the fuel is fed into rear head and the return also comes out the rear head. What the mod does is feed the engine fuel from each end. The thought is that the back head gets the most pressure but the pressures in each head gets less and less as you go forward. This "should" even out the pressure. I used a 20 inch piece of steel brake line. I used a Tee fitting coming out of the fuel shut off solenoid. On the front head you will see two plugs, remove the bottom plug and run the line to here. I removed the fan assembly and mount to get at the plugs easier. The guy from Pittsburgh Power claimed this should add 15 to 20 horsepower. I know the engine does run smoother with the mod installed, we will find out in a few weeks if it pulls any better. | |
