North East Kansas | I will list the software below:
Framework- V31.21.0.0
Large Tractors- V31.1.0.0
Precision Farming- V31.21.0.0
Auto Guidance- V31.21.0.0
Also, the other guy in this thread hasn't said much about precision. He doesn't like Case Ih trimble guidance. I do believe an excellent dealer would have a lot of information and knowledge. We currently don't have a technician, so I was relying on Precision tech support. I have been having these issues since 2022. To sum up, they blamed my seed sensors on acreage issues since they aren't all wave vision, they said the data showed that my radar is messed up even though there is no radar data and radar is actually fine, and then they lied about being in contact with a technician that hasn't worked for the local dealer in a long time. I do believe I have a gripe about that customer service. Anyone that defends that is not thinking logical. The only thing I will say that maybe makes it less is that I keep hearing from a lot of people that company tech support has become bad everywhere. I will also say that I told everyone that would listen how awesome precision planting was until 2022 when their new software broke my planter. Having looked back at my data, even the 2019 software had those 0.4 mph micro blips, but it doesn't seem to cause many problems. I am leaning towards just leaving my software at 2019.1.7 since the planter is functioning fine with this software. It loses some features, and still has the flipping issue that wasn't there originally, but I can probably leave the heading to calculated, and then once I backed up in to the corner, maybe I can switch the heading to GPS, and maybe that will work for pulling forward without planter flipping. It's annoying but may work. On the flipping issue, one tech support guy back in 23 did say that precision is aware of the flipping issue and a lot of people have been affected by it. Someone on agtalk recommended putting the heading to GPS instead of calculated, but that would cause the semicircles in the field so had its own issues. The reason Im posting here is because I've gotten much better help from Agtalk than from precision. The geopard guy showed me there was no radar data, and actually my seed dealer talked to their precision guy and he also confirmed that they don't show radar data. I was glad to hear from the guy that also said that the problems don't always go away pulling the data out of the receiver instead of the NAV so that I knew that was a possibility. Again, I feel like Agtalk has been much better support, and I really can't put it in any nice way how bad precisions company tech support has been. I can't understand how a company that developed a product can know so little about it. I believe one actually competent support guy would probably sort my issues fast. If I had the information I need I feel I could sort it fast. A great dealer tech would also do that, but I currently don't have one. | |
