Subject: Single Wire Hi Tensile Fence

West Central Illinois
I'm putting in a single wire hi tensile fence along the edge of timber adjacent to creek to keep cows out of big timber whem grazing this field. The timber jogs around a good bit as it follows the creek. With that being said in 400 yd stretch if I was to h brace all these slight jogs I'd have 15 H braces in that stretch. A majority of these jogs are only maybe 10 to 20 degree slight bends. Would a guy need to H brace those or would a good stout 6" hedge post buried 4' deep hold tension enough? Would an earth anchor be needed to hold it straight? I cleaned up the brush today and marked my lines to start tomorrow and just thought maybe a guy could get away without H braces on each jog, also wanted to avoid all the splices if possible. Was planning on using tensioners and springs as well not planning piano wire tight there'll be heavy deer pressure here
