| Picking up by hand worked OK when corn was $3.00 and a new pickup was $3500.
No way I can pickup enough corn today to make wages.
I have seen guys turn fat cattle on feed out on fields like that.
I have also seen them run a hot fence and move it a row or 2 every day.
Do not work the ground if you can help it. Working the ground shells the corn and plants it so it all grows.
If left on the ear some will grow, but several plants on a cob limits size and they are not drawing from the soil.
