Ft. Ripley MN | I’m not saying you are wrong… plenty of guys on here that feed cattle. I did last year but typically just background… anyways I truly wish they all made some money I truly do.
I guess my point was this market is a cycle and what goes up must come down and what comes down will eventually go back up. Would I be happy if the next week my calves lost a couple hundred bucks or if i waited to fill the lot one more week things would have looked better probably not but that’s the business we are in. I truly do mean well when I say I hope everyone on this board makes a few dollars but at the end of the day we are in a wild business. Let’s be thankful for now we can still wake up tomorrow and live this blessed life.
I didn’t read the article but there was one saying these current cattle prices could push out to 2028.. boy I sure hope so but I see a lot more potential for a breakeven feeder calf then the current profit margin | |
