That's why E85 is priced significantly less. In our area it's usually 60 to 70 cents less which more than offsets the mileage loss.
In my F150 I tracked fuel cost/mile for several years and I needed $0.26 per gallon to break even so easily money ahead to burn E85.
In the Grand Caravan we need only $0.22 per gallon.
So we grow corn and burn it.
