| of course it wasn`t a good deal and this is coming from a pro-trump maga fan. it`s we are in that point in a negotiation where trump is desperate for good news, the Chinese know this, they have time on their side and the US has an election at least every 2 years. that`s why whatever the issue that needs solved either gets solved in 2 months or the public starts jumping ship and votes in some kind of "mamdani". people would rather slowly bleed to death (trade deficits) than go through the pain of stopping the bleeding and heal up (protecting and bringing back industry).
so, the administration prematurely jumps on any unicorn, even if it`s a old nag with a horn pasted on it`s forehead. you can only count on china for one thing and that`s to look out for themselves. Brazil can fix them up, acreage growing 4% a year along with yield growth, Brazil is effectively the low cost producer. if we drop our $300 billion trade deficit with china, why would they spend $15 billion buying 1 billion bushel of beans from us? I mean seriously , what`s in it for them? | |
