East Central Arkansas | How long has the Clethdim been sprayed? It will take a good while for it to show on the ryegrass. Having the Simazine mixed with it might have messed the clethodim up from working. The tools you are talking about will mess your Simazine pre up. Something like Dual if it gets good rain to incorporate will keep more from coming up. I would say if you want to do anything about the ryegrass with tillage a breaking plows that does a good job of completely flipping the soil unless the ground has been plowed the last couple of years.
Early last Spring I sprayed one of our fields that the ryegrass was bad on with Clethodim. Used it by itself without other chemicals. I used dry AMS and I think MSO in the mix. Pretty sure I used at least 15 gpa water. It took for ever to show up but it ended up doing a good job.
The Fall of 24 I had like a 2.5 gal jug mixed up I had for spot spraying through the Spring and Summer. I spot sprayed it out on some bad patches. It didn't look like it was doing anything for a long time but then on up in Winter I noticed those spots dying. | |
