| I guess I do it a lot differently. I don’t worry about the roots at all. I dig trees with the excavator and then drag everything with a 6 foot rake attachment to get what’s on top. It’s slow but effective. Then I just level it up with the field cultivator, which will grab a few more things that I missed and then I no-till it after. I’ve never damaged a planter or grain head that I’ve ever seen. I don’t dig below the top couple inches. Just let it be. | |
