Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio
My neighbor had a swimming pool put in they found a walnut root several feet deep. We all figure it had to have been there since the last time the creek changed direction and buried it there. Being the expert hillbilly geologist we were we decided it had to be at least a few hundred years old. Hickory maple ash and cherry should rot down fairly quickly. I’ve gotten stumps to rot faster by dribbling 28 on them a couple times a year.
