Subject: RE: Green Lighting Results

The bottom two plots trials are the clearest representation of green lightnings affect. As Shown Below there is a 26 bushel jump
100 Gallon GL/ 100 urea: 257.05BU/A ^^^^ NO Change, See Above
15. Gallon GL/100 Urea: 231.85 Great Looking Corn with little to no disease, great stalk size, great color and girthy ear,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excuse the random order of trails (this is the order they were presented in the field)
Full rate of azoxystrobin fungicide on all passes
100# AMS on all passes

435# Urea: 234.3 BU/A Deep Green, Devastated With Southern Rust, Pre-harvest Yield Estimate were around 245-265BU
215#Urea/30 Gal GL: 244.2BU/ Deep Green, By Far the Best Looking, Early Season Urea Gave a Deep Deep Green Color like Usual, Green Lightning Gave A late Season Push Along With Disease Prevention
CONTROL: 207.45BU Way Better Control Then Expected, Nebraska Weather Was Great This Year
15 Gallon GL: 230.41 BU/A Light Yellow Tint, Not Healthy Looking Corn
30 Gallon GL: 230.70BU/A Light Yellow Tint, Not Healthy Looking Corn
60 Gallon GL: 236.17 BU/A Light Yellow Tint, Stalks looked stronger then lesser trials
300 gallon GL/100# Urea: 256.1 BU/A Light Yellow, Talks looked Great, Leaves has great thickness, far thicker then Urea plot, Zero disease, narrower stalks,
200 Gallon GL/100 Urea: 259.79BU/A ^^^^ NO Change, See Above
100 Gallon GL/ 100 urea: 257.05BU/A ^^^^ NO Change, See Above
15. Gallon GL/100 Urea: 231.85 Great Looking Corn with little to no disease, great stalk size, great color and girthy ear,

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

100# AMS Applied on all acres at V6
435# Urea: 234.3 BU/A 435# Urea Applied at V6
215#Urea/30 Gal GL: 244.2BU/ 215# Urea Applied at V6, 15 Gallon GL Applied at V10, 15 Gallon Applied at V12
CONTROL: 207.45BU Only 100# AMS, Control Was 24 Rows Wide, We only weighed the Center 12 Rows To gather a true control
15 Gallon GL: 230.41 BU/A 15 Gallons GL Applied at V10
30 Gallon GL: 230.70BU/A 15 Gallons GL Applied at V10, 15 Gallons GL Applied at V12
60 Gallon GL: 236.17 BU/A 15 Gallons GL Applied at V10, 15 Gallons GL Applied at V12, 30 Gallons GL Applied at V14
300 gallon GL/100# Urea: 256.1 BU/A 100# Urea Applied at V6, 50 Gallons GL Applied at V10 Morning, 50 Gallons GL Applied V10 Evening, 50 Gallon GL Applied at V12 Morning, 50 Gallon GL Applied at V12 Evening, 100 Gallons GL applied at R2
200 Gallon GL/100 Urea: 259.79BU/A 100# Urea Applied at V6, 50 Gallons GL Applied at V10, 50 Gallons GL Applied at V12, 100 Gallons GL Applied at R2
100 Gallon GL/ 100 urea: 257.05BU/A 100# Urea Applied at v6, 50 Gallons GL Applied at V10, 50 Gallons GL Applied At V12
15. Gallon GL/100 Urea: 231.85 100# Urea Applied at v6, 15 Gallons GL Applied at V10

In hind sight we should have applied green lightning early, we waited for the canopy to save product, we believe its strictly foliar, if nitrate water hits the ground it is assumed to be lost.

In summary I do not think Green lighting is the complete replacement in high producing ground. My theory suggests that 150bushel-200 bushel corn on marginal ground is possible with 100% green lightning, rate to get there is unknown, but as the yield suggest it could plateau at 100 Gallons per acre

In my opinion Green lightning is not a full Nitrogen replacement, but instead a supplement. 50% synthetic Nitrogen with a 60-100 Gallon rate of Green lightning is how we plan to curve high nitrogen cost.

More Trials Next Year

Far to much information to post, email me for more Qs
