Southeast WI
We have focused on fall vine crops since it fits my crop consulting and corn/soy harvest schedule fairly well. No time for summer produce if we want some time to get a few camping trips in before 3 straight mos of work. We grow a dozen different types of squash, pie pumpkins, regular pumpkins, 30 types of specialty pumpkins and "squash" plus dozen types of gourds. We sell to higher end stores, wholesalers that can charge for a quality product and sell about 20% at our home farm stand.

Planting and weeding isn't too labor intensive, harvest is the worst of it. I built a 30' planter we sit on and drop seed and have a 15' rotary weeder that i also built the mechanicals to hang the eco weeders on.
