They seem to be surviving here in towns with few other options.

My opinion is the food is very similar to other fast food joints, but they sell at a premium price so the are a competitor to someone like whataburger that does a great job advertising and has unique food options. They are barely fast, I can drop into mom and pop buffet and eat better for cheaper and faster. Most of their food is good, but those steak fingers are the most disappointing thing they sell, lunch lady Circa 1995 special.

We don’t hit fast food too often, for one it’s bad for you and for 2 if the whole family is there and we’re in the city we can hit a tx roadhouse for similar money. Kids eat of kids menu and wife and I split a big ribeye, it’s about $10 more than premium fast food like whataburger, dq, chick filet. Fast food is so high I’ve been declining help with my firewood business. If wife and kids go we can cut, split, load a cord of wood in 45 minutes, takes me an hour or so alone. But when we take a delivery over to where they have a DQ it’s $50 to get out of there and I may as well keep wife home to cook when I get back. $50 for 30 minutes extra work is the best money I can make all day. I suspect many others are in that same boat in times like these.
