NW Iowa | In a town about 30 miles from me is a little Dairy Queen the size of a one car garage. It’s a walk up to the window only business, there is no inside seating and they only serve dairy products. It sits in a parking lot along a major highway going through town. It’s open from April 1 through October. The place does a huge business out of this little building. There is usually always one customer at the window and another customer waiting. This building is not new, it’s been there for as long as I can remember. A little over a year ago the area was flooded and this building was sitting in five feet of water. After the flood went away it was one of the first businesses back up and running. This isa good example that a business does not have to be new and flashy to have a big customer base if it is in the right location. Evidently it makes enough money to keep corporate happy. | |
