southern MN | My farm average of 7.4 is a little high, and the 8-8.2 spots are a challenge with beans. There isn’t a good economic return option on lowering this, the rolling hills and high water table and clay subsoil flush in ph faster than it can be reduced.
Can manage it, and slightly reduce it, mostly need to live with it.
One expert once saw a 6.2 on one 5 acre sample out of the dozens and dozens of samples and mentioned lime. It was surrounded by 6.5 and 6.7 samples.
